So you CAN force a call after I've installed xtreme without the phone line plugged in?

Gonna go try that now and see if the magic happens. I was a dumbass before and forgot to chmod SubTest to +x

Caused me all sorts of screens of green death.

    Guys....

I have the same problem currently with my system. I installed the Extreme Hack back in Dec. Have a 5:Lifetime on the receiver, but get the "it's been 30 days since your last... nag message and no recording. Figured the touch funtion would help but no luck. I am missing something someplace?. Sis I miss a mod to the rc.sysinit?.

    any help is greatly appreciated,

    you probably touched improperly..

check your /etc directory for a file named SubTest (case sensitive)

No SubTest in the /etc directory.
No wonder I can't touch the file. Should it be in the etc directory?.
A ls of the /etc doesn't yield any findings on the SubTest cmd.

I can't find the SubTest directory as stated at the tail end of the rc-sysinit. Do I need to re-load Extreme back on the hard drive to enable the SubTest function?. I hope not, I don't want to screw up any Season Passes.

    Any help is always appreciated!!..

at the bash prompt type the following
echo BubbaJ is Cool > /etc/SubTest

(This creates the file SubTest in the /etc directory)
