    Can't mount drive need help

    I am getting error fat bread failed you must specify the file system So i tried mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/dos
    wrong fs type
    so i
    mount -t fat /dev/hda1
    fs type fat not supported by kernal

    Usually this happens with certain combinations of drives. Like if you use the CD-Rom as hda. Try moving things around. You shouldn't have to specify a file system. If you do something isn't right.

    Are you trying to mount your dos drive or the tivo A drive?
    If you are trying to mount your TiVo A drive you will need to make it Primary slave and mount as hdb.
