    Romaio cci bit?

    Is there a thread that talks about the cci bit removal for romaio? I saw a lot on the series 3 and older...

    Nobody has ever compromised the bootloader on these that I know of. Though if they still use sha1 to validate the boot signatures...maybe...

    AlphaWolf is correct, no one has released a software or hardware exploit for the Roamio (or any later tivo for that matter).

    Regarding SHA-1 though, Google's SHAttered proof of concept doesn't change SHA-1 pre-image resistance. So I think we'll be waiting some years before we can sign our own kernels... :-)
