Using DirectTV Tivo without access card (HMO)

First off - NOT trying to steal DTV Service. Infact, I don't want to watch live TV at all on this box.

I have an extra DirecTV tivo that I've got hooked up with the HMO. I want to use this device in a 3rd bedroom that is rarely used, and would just like to watch things that were recorded on other Tivos.

I've gotten it to work - but there is a continual banner at the bottom of the screen that says "Please insert your Access Card"

The video and sound play without issue, but is there anyway to get rid of that horrible banner message other than paying the $5/month DTV fee.

I don't even plan on running satellite feeds to this tivo..

1 HDVR2 w/ 120 gig drive (hacked a long time ago, sleeper tivoscripts v1.02, running v4.x w/ HMO (Thanks Haderk!) - suits my purposes well.)

1 DSR7000 w/ 120 gig drive - Currently 3.1.1b. Want to move it to HMO v4.0 WITHOUT sleeper (still testing killhdinit and other variants).

2 DVR39s - just to play with and break stuff. Also just using one for MRV off the other tivos!

Not only is that a link to an old version of TCTimeout, but it is not even the proper software to fix the OP's problem.

Some say sticking an old credit card in makes the nag should go away.

I found, on a Philips DSR6000, that the nag message went away after a while, and I was able to play shows without problems.

I found an old P3 card that was never used, popped it in - and good to go. I totally forgot that the blacklist came over the sat feed! This should work for the long term.

Thanks
